Tutorial - Shooting waterdrops by teyasaveleva Tutorial - Shooting waterdrops by teyasaveleva

This is my tutorial on water drop photography. It introduces my personal tips on shooting water drop macro. The tutorial aims beginners, who are just starting out with their DSLRs and are in need of some ideas. It doesn't go into detail, but only states the basics.

I hope it will be helpful

Take blue paper/books/cloth to put it in the background and use shallow DoF.

Do you use anything else than a macro lens for these (such as, close-up filters etc.)? I've tried with my 105mm macro but it seems I just can't get enough magnification without cropping a lot.

No, I don't use anything. I'm happy with my lens. But I thought of buying macro rings when I only had a kit lens.

Nice job. Really informative. The only thing that you left out, that is important, is the light source.

Yeah, I thought I would make one with an emphasis on the light source next time, not to overwhelm this simple tutorial.
